Weezer screenprint

A little DIY copyright infringement. But I doubt Weezer will mind that much? Listened to Pinkerton like 4 times on a recent road trip to Canada, great album! Who could outgrow Weezer?

Another knit skirt, made in England

Yet another...
This one started with 130 stitches. I added a stitch slightly less than every row (add a stitch every row+20 stitches). It's 110 rows. The first and last rows are knit/perl by flipping it inside out every other row, to keep it from curling. Knit entirely during vacation to England  :)

Pillow case

Textile Center had their annual sale this morning. Not only is there fabric, but basically anything textile-y. I found a pillow case. I cut apart the short side and converted it to a shirt. I love the buttons on the back

Yet ANOTHER knit skirt

So this one is with cascade yarn. Quicker to knit because the waist is 133 stitches (not 166, and really next time I think I can get away with 125 stitches). And it doesn't widen out at the bottom like the others. The others I added a stitch slightly LESS than every row, and this one I added a stitch slightly MORE than every row. That makes this a straighter skirt. I'm not sure which cut I like better, but this one takes a lot less time to make (and less yarn).
Cascade takes a beating in order to felt, and even after boiling water and completely machine drying it's still not fully felted. But it's felted just the way I like it, and it's so convenient to get to fully machine dry a skirt (as opposed to taking forever to dry flat).

Had some spare yarn. Quick made up some arm warmers (as I recall, 22 stitches wide and sewn up the center)

Angled pockets skirt

I found this pattern on Pinterest:

http://www.oneaviandaemon.com/how-to-make-my-chalk-lines-skirt/

It's a perfect patten for reflective piping! And it has huge deep pockets!

Made this skirt tonight quick after work for a coworker who gave me the cutest hedgehog nightlight

Green / grey knitted skirt

Another one! These skirts take me 10-14 days to make.
This one is a bit different because I felted it a bit.
It's 166 stitches across, add a stitch slightly less than every row, 105 rows. Each color band is 5 rows. Do perling on the last band to keep it from rolling. 4.50mm needles
I used 4 skeins of Malabrigo worsted wool (more like 1.5 skeins of each color)

Sewing in elastic for the waist

The yarn

Another pair of Jammie's

Unfortunately these were tougher to make than the blue striped pair. I love this fabric so much more, and got it at beloved Treadle. But it doesn't hang as easily. Anyway, I still like it  :)

Reflective piping

Another one on the theme of reflective piping! And pink dingle balls

A quick sew, I'm happy with it! And nice to have a day off

Jersey jammies

So I've finally gotten over my fear of jersey! It took me a long time, even after the encouragement of a great work colleague. So now that I'm finally sewing jersey knits, I see she was totally right!

Here's a pair of jammies I made yesterday afternoon. I want to wear them all day!

Knit skirt

When I was in San Francisco in April I bought some yarn (attending a conference, knitting is a great way to not get bored during lectures and on the plane). Anyway, finally got around to "blocking" it (never done that before!) and adding elastic to the waist. Let's hope it doesn't stretch over time!

Basic skirt

Here's another skirt that's of my usual pattern. I've made about a million like this
